Monica Araoz. I am an active artist in Austin TX. You can see my work in my website
or physically in any of the galleries that represent meI started teaching in 2008 following a request by a close friend for art instruction. The experience helped me discover my grand passion for teaching and marked me forever.  From that first class with few students, word of mouth put me in the position of opening this academy in 2009. I believe that everybody can learn to draw and I believe I can teach you.

Vanessa Huff. Masters in elementary education from Texas State University. I have always had a passion for working with children and art.  After recieving my Bachelors degree in Fine Art I worked at a preschool for two years.  I loved integrating art into the classroom    I have 5  years of teaching experience. I truly enjoy teaching at Art + Academy and I also  own a traveling art enrichment business Art & Soul Austin.

Michelle Haan.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from Tarleton State University in traditional art. I have been inspired by the world around me since I was a child, and creating art in various media since I can remember. I have been volunteering with children since I was in high school, and took courses in childhood education while in college. I began instructing both adults and children in art at the beginning of 2012.
I've always enjoyed sharing my passion for art with others, and in teaching I've learned that anyone can be taught how to create something artistic with a little guidance. Children are by nature creative, and my goal as an instructor is to help lead that natural creativity into a love of art for the rest of their lives.

Marcia Breternitz. As an Artist and Art Teacher with international experience, I have been drawing and painting for more than 20 years atVanessa Huff. several Art Schools in Brazil, like Bauhaus and SENAC. In 1998 I moved with my family to Austin, Texas, and soon started making portraits and participated in Art events, including an exhibition for the Latin week at Motorola Inc., and became a member artist of the famous La Villita Gallery in San Antonio.
I worked at University of Texas during three years teaching Face Drawing and Fashion Design Art at the Informal Classes program and have illustrated a children's book published in Brazil.I enjoy teaching art to children and adults because I believe one of the best way to see and understand the world is by expressing ourselves thru drawing and art.

Adria McCuaig.
Adria has been teaching children for eighteen years.  She has an elementary teaching credential from San Francisco State University and an MA in Art Education form UT.  For the past ten years, she has taught Art at public schools, private art schools, community centers and for after-school programs.
